When she’s not practicing law, Jenny enjoys playing violin, listening to audiobooks, experimenting in the kitchen, and making pottery. She especially values time with her husband and their two tuxedo cats, Socrates and Aristotle. For the last decade, delivering groceries has been my sole source of income.
In March of 2025, while delivering an order, I was attacked by a pit bull.
The homeowner never apologized. She just kept yelling, “Let me see your arm.”
I got out of there, drove to the ER, they ran it under cold water, gave me antibiotics, told me to file a police report, and sent me on my way.
Naively, I thought, “Okay… once these wounds heal, life will go back to normal.”

Then I read the homeowner’s response to the police report.
She claimed it never happened.
She called me a liar.
That hurt almost as much as the bite itself. I struggled with whether I should even pursue anything legally. The entire situation felt dehumanizing. The thought of court was overwhelming, and all I wanted was for it to be over.
A friend encouraged me to call an attorney.
Honestly? I didn’t want a lawyer. I didn’t want any of this.
But someone’s refusal to take responsibility left me feeling like I had no choice.
Then I met Jenny Anton.
The first thing she did was give me a hug.
In that moment, someone finally saw this for what it really was—trauma.
